Hale Glass Ready Pet Doors are long-lasting, exceptional doors designed to benefit your pets' well-being without compromising your home's insulation. With the double flap option, the Hale Glass Ready door provides supreme weather resistance, keeping your home at a comfortable temperature, whatever the season.

All flaps are lined with fuzzy nylon weather stripping and magnets to seal the door properly. The magnet strength can be increased for additional wind resistance and insulation. The Hale Glass Ready Pet Door, the Hale Door, and the Hale Wall model operate off the same platform, so parts are easily found! The versatility of this pet door is sure to meet your expectations, making life easier for you and your pets.

  • This Glass Ready option fits glass with a 1⁄2" - 1 3⁄4" thickness
  • Clear & flexible vinyl flaps available in a single or double flap option
    • Single flap recommended for moderate climates
    • Double flap recommended for extreme climates
  • Fuzzy, nylon weather stripping lines the perimeter of the flap to improve insulation
  • Comes with a sturdy locking cover and steel pin lock customize the door by adding a side-loading locking cover *(optional selection)* if the default top-loading cover doesn't work for you
  • Magnets on the flap maintain a tight seal and their strength can be increased for additional wind resistance
  • Outer frame features a rain cap that hooks to the top edge of the outside frame and helps protect against water intrusion (if choosing secondary exterior security cover and rain cap, you must choose a side-loading security cover)
  • The aluminum frame comes in four different colors with the option to mix and match the interior and exterior frame colors *(optional selection)* to accurately match the inside and outside of your home

  • Can I add additional magnets?

    Yes! You can attach and remove magnets. Removing magnets makes it easier for smaller pets to push through. With a screwdriver head, you can push the magnets off the flap. Adding magnets is a great way to combat outside weather as well. You can also purchase additional magnets and strikes .

  • Can I attach a locking cover on both sides of the unit?

    If you want a locking cover on both sides, that would be a special order. Please let us know beforehand if you want to make that happen. Once you have the door in your home, an additional locking cover cannot be added the other side. The exterior locking cover can also only be manufactured to open from the left or right.

  • Does this door come in other colors?

    Yes; it comes in Satin, Arizona Beige (Tan), White, and Bronze. See pictures above for color samples.

  • Is this the same as the Security Boss?

    No, that is made by a different manufacturer and parts and dimensions are not the same.

  • What is meant by Different Interior Frame Color?

    Hale can make a pet door with two different color frames. So you can get the door to match your interior and exterior decor.

  • What is the difference between single and double flap?

    Double flap mounts increase resistance to extreme weather. These are great options for blazing summer and snowy winters. While a Hale single flap can do the job of some double flap models, the additional vinyl can safeguard from wind and single digit temperatures.

  • What is the main difference between this weather proof and others? 

    The Hale pet door offers a flexible, vinyl flap while other weatherproof models choose harder flap material, such as the freedom pet pass pet door with a canvas flap. These vinyl flaps are thicker than standard, offering a greater resistance to extreme weather.

  • Where do you buy replacement flaps?

    Hale Replacement Flaps can be bought on our site. These flaps do not have logos on them, so it would be best to measure the flaps to make sure the correct size is ordered.

  • Why would I need a left or right locking load?

    Hale gives you options on how your locking cover opens based on the unique locations your door will be in. These options are included in case there is a lip above your frame that would stop your locking cover from sliding up. You can open your cover left or right depending on other obstructions on either side of the installation location.

  • How much does shipping cost?
